Criticism about Proton

Why I got so fed up with Proton, is that other than its quality built up, he has never been growing up in terms of technology, to compete against his competitors.

Here are some new techs that automobile manufacturers have been doing ever since 1997:
Manufacturers have been putting efforts into this in order to improve fuel efficiency & power output.
To increase accuracy in air-fuel ratio mix in very specific of timing, hence reduce fuel consumption especially in braking condition.
Use lower engine displacement but get higher output performance.
To reduce energy loss during power stroke being transferred to wheel.

However, look at what Proton has done. The campro engine never had the VVT equipped, no MPI, the so called “charge fuel efficiency CFE” technology consume more fuel than normal aspirated campro engine @ 9.1litre/100km(normal aspirated campro engine 1.6L 6.7litre/100km), compared with Volkswagen Golf 5.0litre/100km. Sound stupid, isn't it?

Although, copy cat is Proton's motto, he forced Mitsubishi to sell him the Lancer platform and re-badged under its name call Inspira. Proton copies Mitsubishi innovation - MIVEC technology and migrated it into its CFE engine. Hence, its engine is equipped with VVT on the intake cam, and it didn't even dare to tell people that it is his technology. (i-pro perhaps??lol)
